  • Publication number: 20230002828
Abstract: The present disclosure provides methods of administering chimeric and hybrid Factor VIII (FVIII) polypeptides comprising FVIII and Fc to subjects at risk of developing inhibitory FVIII immune responses, including anti-FVIII antibodies and/or cell-mediated immunity. The administration is sufficient to promote coagulation and to induce immune tolerance to FVIII. The chimeric polypeptide can comprise full-length FVIII or a FVIII polypeptide containing a deletion, e.g., a full or partial deletion of the B domain.

  • Patent number: 10591044
Abstract: Methods and systems for monitoring belt tension and determining belt lifespan in a TRS are disclosed. An embodiment of a self-tensioner can include a sensor connected to a self-tensioner in a belt driven system and a magnet that passes over the sensor to generate a signal. The sensor detects the signal, and the signal in conjunction with an angle of the magnet is converted into a voltage value. The method can include a controller connected to the self-tensioner, the controller converts the voltage value into a tension value, and stores the tension value among a plurality of premeasured tension values in a memory, where the controller compares the tension value and the plurality of premeasured tension values to determine a belt tension condition of the belt in the belt-driven system.

  • Publication number: 20180076354
Abstract: An example ultraviolet (UV) light emitting diode (LED) is described herein. The UV LED can include an n-doped contact region, an active region configured to emit UV light that is arranged between an n-doped region and a p-doped region, and a tunnel junction. The tunnel junction is arranged between the n-doped contact region and the p-doped region. In addition, the tunnel junction can include a heavily p-doped region, a degenerately n-doped region, and a semiconductor region arranged between the heavily p-doped region and the degenerately n-doped region. Each of the heavily p-doped region and the degenerately n-doped region has a gradually varied material energy bandgap to reduce respective depletion barriers within the heavily p-doped region and the degenerately n-doped region.
