    Abstract: A method of altering surface properties of elatomeric polymers by high energy inert gas plasma treatments so as to enhance the proliferation of cells on these surfaces, in particular to enhance the proliferation of hKDCs on such surfaces. The surface properties are altered while the bulk properties of the polymers are unchanged. The unique altered surfaces provide cell adhesion.
