  • Publication number: 20180276654
Abstract: A computer system detects the reception of a first token associated with a first transaction. The computer system determines that a first Payments Reward Identifier (PRI) is associated with the first token by accessing a PRI database. In response to determining that the first PRI is associated with the first token, the computer system accesses the PRI database and determines that the first PRI is associated with a record within the PRI database that corresponds to a first rewards ID (RID). In response to determining that the first PRI is associated with a record within the PRI database that corresponds to the first rewards, the computer system determines a first rewards amount corresponding to the first transaction, and updates a total rewards amount, in a rewards database, corresponding to the determined first RID based on the first rewards amount.

  • Publication number: 20180189769
Abstract: A system includes a service provider device and a point of sale (POS) device. A session between a user device and the POS device is established. An authentication request associated with the user device is provided via a user interface of the POS device. Subsequent to an authentication of information, responsive to the authentication request, the POS device receives funding instrument (FI) proxy information corresponding to FIs, which is unusable to identify the FIs by a merchant. A selectable representation corresponding to the FI proxy information is provided via the user interface. Responsive to receiving an indication of a selected member from the selectable representation, information for the selected member is sent. The service provider device determines that the session corresponds to an account associated with the user device and the merchant, and performs a transaction for the session using a first FI that corresponds to the selected member.

  • Publication number: 20180089742
Abstract: While website or other user content is often static, dynamic content personalization may allow for a better user experience. One way to personalize content, such as web content, is to gather information on a user, and then use that information to augment content. This approach is limited, however, in that a smaller website operator may have little or no data on its users, who may be infrequent. By making use of data collection modules, however, personalization data can be gathered from a number of different sources. Correlation of user identity using a correlation database may then be performed to determine that a user of one site is the same as the user of another site (even if the user presents different login credentials on those sites). This allows personalization data to be leveraged at scale and presentation of dynamic content opportunities, improving content and providing a more useful experience.

  • Publication number: 20180089676
Abstract: While web site content is often static, dynamic web content personalization may allow for a more beneficial user experience. The present disclosure discusses gathering information on a user from a plurality of different websites, on which the user may be identified differently. Based on common linking information, a correlation can be made, however, between the different user identifiers on the different websites. With this correlation, potentially sparse information gathered from many different smaller websites can be aggregated and logically connected, enabling greater depth of knowledge on users' profiles. Profile data based on user actions on different websites (such as selecting an item for purchase) can be transmitted to other systems which can then use this data to present dynamic personalized content. In some embodiments, artificial intelligence techniques can further refine the usefulness of the profile data that is collected.
