Abstract: The present relates to a method and system for performing quality inspection of a product, within a multi layer manufacturing lifecycle. For doing so, the present method and system receive, at a quality control platform, a quality control request for the product. The method and system process, at the quality control platform, the quality control request to generate a quality specification, and transmit the quality specification, from the quality control platform, to at least one portable quality inspection terminal. The method and system collect, at the at least one portable quality inspection terminal, quality data representative of a compliance of an article under inspection with the quality specification. The method and system process, at the at least one portable quality inspection terminal, the quality data to generate aggregated quality data; and transmit the aggregated quality data, from the at least one portable quality inspection terminal, to the quality control platform.
