  • Publication number: 20060031522
Abstract: A method, network entity and test controller for establishing a Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) session between a plurality of SIP-based network entities and performing test measurements over the SIP session. The test controller instructs the network entities to establish the SIP session and specifies which test measurements are to be performed. The SIP session is established between the network entities, the test measurements are carried out, and the results are reported back to the test controller by at least one of the network entities, which may be terminals or packet data nodes such as a CDMA2000 Packet data Switched Node (PDSN) or Base Station Controller (BSC). The network entities may comprise SIP user agents and test modules in the forms of software and/or hardware.

  • Publication number: 20040168050
Abstract: A method for analyzing a traffic of encrypted packet data sent over a Packet Core Network (PCN) and a traffic analysis device are provided. The method utilizes a traffic analysis device for listening to the traffic of encrypted packet data. The method further authenticates the traffic analysis device with at least one packet data node of the PCN, and sends a code from the at least one packet data node to the traffic analysis device for allowing decryption of the encrypted packet data at the traffic analysis device. The traffic analysis device analyzes the decrypted packet data. Afterwards, the method utilizes the traffic analysis device for separating instrumentation and a packet data node function for at least one packet data node.

  • Patent number: 6769011
Abstract: A directory-search system for an LDAP server is provided to permit faster and more efficient persistent searches of LDAP directories of the server. Directory searches are performed by a proxy interoperably connected to one or more LDAP directories of the server and to one or more clients of the LDAP directories. The proxy searches a portion of the LDAP directories and receives registrations from one or more of the clients. The proxy can combine registrations from multiple clients into a single search of the LDAP directory. Registrations by the clients can be restricted to the portion of the LDAP directories searched by the proxy. The LDAP directories respond to the searches by the proxy by notifying the proxy concerning modifications to entries in the LDAP directories. In response to a determination that modified entries in the LDAP directories matches registration criteria received from one or more clients, the proxy notifies the appropriate clients of the modified entries.

  • Publication number: 20030079020
Abstract: A method, system, and service provider for program-on-demand service in a telecommunications network, wherein a Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) terminal sends to a service provider, preferably over an HTTP link, a program request for a plurality of selected programs. The service provider determines which content provider stores the first program, and establishes an SIP session between that content provider and the SIP terminal, session which is used for streaming the first selected program to the SIP terminal, preferably using Real-Time Protocol (RTP). At the termination of a first program, the service provider releases the first SIP session and establishes a second SIP session between the SIP terminal and a second content provider storing the second program. The service provider may have a Web Server for selecting programs, and may be connected to an SIP functionality having a Parlay/SIP converter and an SIP server for handling SIP sessions using Parlay/OSA-based messages.

  • Patent number: 6553405
Abstract: A self-configurable distributed computer software system and a method of enabling an applet running on a Web browser in the system to obtain needed software code in the form of Java classes from a machine that is not hosting the applet's originating Web server. A Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) server stores Java classes utilized by a plurality of applets distributed throughout the system. The applet's Web server is connected to the Web browser and to the LDAP server, and includes a servlet for retrieving Java classes from the LDAP server. When the Web browser requests a needed Java class from the Web server, the Web server determines from the package name of the requested Java class whether or not the requested class is stored on the Web server's local storage disk. If not, the Web server requests the servlet to retrieve the Java class from the LDAP server.
