  • Patent number: 6786159
Abstract: In a safe method of controlling the tilt of a rail vehicle traveling on a track, different sections of the track are allocated authorized tilt limit values representative of a safety gauge within which the train can tilt without risk of colliding with infrastructures near the tracks or a vehicle traveling in the opposite direction. All tilting of the vehicle is prohibited beyond authorized tilt limit values allocated to the track section on which the vehicle is located.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: October 16, 2002
Date of Patent: September 7, 2004
    Assignee: Alstom
Inventors: Bernard Auge De Fleury, Stéphane Feray-Beaumont

  • Patent number: 6067496
Abstract: The present invention relates to an automatic driver system comprising:means for recording a plurality of precalculated reference situations giving the time required to reach a target point as a function of the position of a vehicle on a track and of speed limits that apply to various lengths of the track; andat least one fuzzy inference system SIF.The present invention also relates to a method of generating a speed reference in an automatic driver system, the method constituting in the present situation of a vehicle is evaluated relative to a plurality of precalculated reference situations giving the time required to reach a target point as a function of the position of a vehicle on a track in such a manner as to generate the travel time of the vehicle.
