  • Publication number: 20200325808
Abstract: The invention relates to a particulate filter for collecting particulate matter from the exhaust gases of an internal combustion engine, having a canal geometry that evolves along the entire length of the canal, such that: —the perimeter of the cross section of the canal decreases continuously from an open end (310) of the canal (370) as far as a reference cross section (350) of the canal, then increases continuously from the reference cross section as far as a closed end (360) of the canal, and —the surface area of the cross section of the canal decreases monotonously from the open end of the canal as far as the closed end. The closed ends are situated in the body of the filter near the outlet and inlet faces respectively for the inlet and outlet canals of the filter.

  • Patent number: 10774709
Abstract: The present invention describes a fluid which is suitable for the decontamination of heat engines which can carry out, at the same time, both the catalytic reduction of oxides of nitrogen (NOx) contained in exhaust gases and assist in the regeneration of the particulate filter (PF). The invention also describes several embodiments of said fluid consisting of producing an oil-in-water type emulsion.

  • Patent number: 10364723
Abstract: The present invention is a method for removing pollution from exhaust gas circulating in an exhaust line (12) of an internal-combustion engine. The exhaust line comprises an ammonia-sensitive catalyst (46) with selective NOx catalytic reduction traversed by the gas and an injector (56, 58) for injecting a reductant of the pollutants The catalyst decomposes the reductant into a hydrogen gas phase and an ammonia gas phase and, for a gas temperature below approximately 150° C. injects the hydrogen into the exhaust line in combination with a hydrogen-sensitive NOx catalyst.

  • Patent number: 10167758
Abstract: A product for depollution of exhaust gas includes a mixture of an additive for treating particles and a reductant for eliminating nitrogen oxides (NOx). The reductant can contain ammonia or a compound generating ammonia by decomposition, or a hydrocarbon from a hydrocarbon-containing substance, oxygenated or not. The addictive for treating particles can be an additive for catalyzing particle oxidation.

  • Publication number: 20160001227
Abstract: The present invention is a process for treating pollutants present in exhaust gases moving in an exhaust line (22) and originating from the combustion in at least one cylinder (12) of an internal combustion engine (10), which is, in particular, a motor vehicle. The line comprises at least one selective catalytic reduction catalyst (30) for the treatment of the nitrogen oxides (NOx) present in these gases and at least one injector (28) of a reducing agent. According to the invention, the process forms ammonium nitrate in the catalyst (30), and decomposes the ammonium nitrate by contributing external energy for exhaust gas temperatures of less than approximately 200° C. and a hydrocarbon is used to increase the sensitivity of the ammonium nitrate, so as to obtain a highly exothermic decomposition of this nitrate.
