  • Patent number: 8473137
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for managing a hybrid vehicle air conditioning system that includes a compressor (8) generating coolness that is storable in a cold reserve (10), the heat engine having access to a control (34) that automatically controls the starting and stopping thereof. Said management method is characterized in that it has the power needed to pull the vehicle (6) and a level of coolness in the cold reserve (10) such that: when the heat engine (2) is on, the stopping (82) thereof is enabled if the charge level (92) in the cold reserve (10) is greater than a minimum threshold and the necessary pulling power is below a maximum threshold, both of said thresholds correlating with each other; and when the heat engine (2) is off, a command for the starting (84) of said heat engine is made if the charge level of the cold reserve (10) is less than a maximum threshold and the necessary pulling power is above a minimum threshold, both of said thresholds also correlating with each other.

  • Patent number: 7826940
Abstract: The invention essentially concerns a method for fast starting on an up slope or with a high load. Said method uses a power transmission device (1.1) comprising a traction chain. Said traction chain consists in particular of a heat engine (2), a clutch (3), an electrical macine (4), and wheels (6). The invention is characterized in that while the vehicle is stopped or is running at low speed up a slope, the heat engine (2) is stopped, and when the vehicle is accelerated, the heat engine (2) is started using a starting system (7) mechanically independent of the electrical machine.

  • Patent number: 7766108
Abstract: The invention essentially concerns a method for fast starting of a hybrid vehicle. Said method uses a power transmission device (1.1) comprising a traction chain consisting of a heat engine (2), a clutch (3), an electrical machine (4), and wheels (6). The invention is characterized in that said method, in order to rapidly accelerate the vehicle when it is stopped, consists in starting the heat engine (2) concurrently with the actuation of the electrical machine, using a starting system (7) mechanically independent of the electrical machine (4).

  • Patent number: 7584040
Abstract: The following steps are performed in the control method: determining a mode of operation from amongst a permanent mode and a transient mode, as a function of a set of variables comprising said estimated values; correcting the value of the speed of rotation of the outlet shaft in such a manner that: if the mode has been determined as being the permanent mode, then the moving average (L?) of the gear ratio (L) over a period (T) of a plurality of unit time intervals lies between a first threshold value (S1) that is negative and a second threshold value (S2) that is positive; and if the mode has been determined as being the transient mode, then said moving average (L?) of the gear ratio (L) lies outside the range of values defined by the first and second threshold value (S1, S2).

  • Publication number: 20080245332
Abstract: The invention concerns a method applicable to a motor vehicle parallel hybrid drive train, comprising a heat engine, at least one electrical machine, a variable speed ratio transmission member, a first clutch linking the heat engine to the electrical machine, and a second clutch linking the transmission member to the electrical machine or to the heat engine. The method includes the following successive steps which consist in: a) placing the first clutch in open position; b) after positioning the second clutch in slip control, powering the electrical machine so as to drive same with kinetic energy higher than the energy required for starting the heat engine; and c) closing the first clutch so as to transmit, from the electrical machine to the heat engine, an energy at least sufficient to compensate the resisting torque of the heat engine shaft, and drive same at a starting speed.
