Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for pairing a first student seeking academic assistance with a second student qualified to provide the assistance. The system is configured to receive, from the first student, a first survey including information pertaining to the subject matter for which tutoring is sought, the grade level, school name, teacher name, and a first schedule of availability. The system also receives, from a second student, a second survey including information pertaining to the subject matter in which the second student is proficient and a second schedule of availability. The system compares the first and second surveys to determine a match, and facilitates an initial communication level between the first student and the second student while preserving the anonymity of the first student.
