  • Patent number: 5323924
Abstract: A container (10) for holding items such as cosmetics, jewelry and the like includes a base portion (12) and a cover portion (11) attached thereto. Within the container (10) is a removable tray (51) which includes a basket portion (52) carried by a surrounding support wall (58). The base (12) of the container (10) supports and holds the tray (51) on a plurality of ribs (77) disposed inwardly on the upturned arcuate side surfaces (33, 34) of the base (12). When the container (10) is open, the tray (51) may be removed and selectively positioned outside the container (10). In addition, the tray (51) may be selectively positioned on the cover (11) which includes similar ribs (80) to those found in the base (12). The tray (51) also includes a mirror assembly (67) which is hingedly attached thereto and may be used as a lid for the basket (52) of the tray ( 51).

  • Patent number: 5219085
Abstract: A domed lid for a waste receptacle is disclosed and comprises a domed external surface (4) and a frontal recess (12) formed therein. A door (20) is pivotally mounted within the recess and has a central domed surface (34) surrounded by an edge flange border (36). A raised ridge (44) extends about the door periphery, and defines a channel with the door surface (34) positioned to collect water from sides of the lid (14,16) and direct the collected water downward over a radiused lower recess sidewall (18) and there to a lower rim of the lid. The lid further comprised spring members (30) which bias the door flange (36) against inward lid surfaces defining the recess, further deterring the entry of water around the door and into the interior of the lid. The shape of the recess and door further enable the lid to interstack with like-configured lids for efficiency in shipping and display at retail.

  • Patent number: 5199571
Abstract: A bucket (10) has a bottom surface (11) and opposed side walls (12, 13) as well as adjoining opposed end walls (14, 15) extending upwardly from the bottom surface (11) forming an open top defined by a rim (21). A bail (24) has one end pivotally attached to the side walls (12, 13) and the other end carries a handle (28). Spouts (18, 19) are formed at the top of each end wall (14, 15). An assembly (33, 37) is provided to hold the bail (24) in a generally horizontal position adjacent to the rim (21). When the bail is not being so held and is pivoted such that its handle (28) is adjacent to an end wall (15), its pivot length is such that when the bucket (10) is stacked with like buckets (10A, 10B, 10C, 10D, 10E), the handles (28) of the lowermost three buckets (10, 10A, 10 B) are underneath a spout (19) of the lowermost bucket (10) and the handles of the fourth and higher buckets (10C, 10D, 10E) rest in the spout of the third bucket therebelow.
