  • Patent number: 12193576
Abstract: This disclosure describes, among other things, techniques for waking a user by changing the user's sleep environment. In one example, a method includes receiving, at a central controller of an air mattress system, at least one user alarm setting, generating, via the central controller, at least one instruction based on the received user alarm setting, and transmitting, from the central controller, the at least one instruction to a first component of the air mattress system to adjust a feature of the first component.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: July 25, 2024
Date of Patent: January 14, 2025
    Assignee: Sleep Number Corporation
Inventors: Rob Nunn, Wade Daniel Palashewski, Matthew Wayne Tilstra, Stacy Marie Stusynski, Steven Jay Young, Carl Hewitt

  • Publication number: 20240148157
Abstract: In one example, this disclosure describes an adjustable bed system that includes first and second adjustable foundations, at least one first motor to adjust the first adjustable foundation, at least one second motor to adjust the second adjustable foundation, a configurable device having a first state and a second state, and a central controller in communication with the device, the controller configured to receive an input representing one of the first state and the second state, the controller including a processor configured to control the at least one first motor and the at least one second motor based on the received input.

  • Publication number: 20240032861
Abstract: Disclosed are systems, methods, and techniques for improving a sleep quality and/or health metric of a user of a bed system. A computer system can be in communication with a user device of the user. The computer system can transmit, to the user device, a subjective sleep health questionnaire for presentation in a graphical user interface (GUI) display, receive, from the user device, user input indicating a response to the subjective sleep health questionnaire, process the user input to determine a circadian chronotype of the user, identify, based on the circadian chronotype of the user, at least one insight for presentation in the GUI display at the user device, and transmit, to the user device, the at least one insight for presentation in the GUI display. The computer system can also determine the circadian chronotype of the user based on sensor data collected by sensors of the user's bed system.
