  • Patent number: 10830538
Abstract: A heat exchanger that includes a plurality of conduits that transmit a refrigerant therethrough. A valve that actuates to fluidly couple a first set of conduits of the plurality of conduits in a first setting and fluidly couple a second set of conduits of the plurality of conduits in a second setting.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: March 27, 2018
Date of Patent: November 10, 2020
    Assignee: Johnson Controls Technology Company
Inventors: Ryan L. Snider, Nicholas P. Mislak, Kristen Velez-Diaz, Kevin R. Stockton, Stacy S. Lemkelde, Douglas A. Kester
  • Publication number: 20190293364
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a heat exchanger including a tube having a length, and a cross-sectional geometry defined by an inner boundary and an outer boundary extending along the length. The tube is configured to flow a refrigerant fluid within the inner boundary to transfer heat. The cross-sectional geometry varies at respective transition points along the length of the tube. The tube is seamless and undeformed at the transition points.

  • Patent number: 10415848
Abstract: A heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system includes an enclosure and an evaporator coil disposed within the enclosure. The HVAC system also includes a pivot member coupled between an edge portion of the evaporator coil and the enclosure. The pivot member is configured to enable the evaporator coil to pivot relative to the enclosure to adjust an operating angle of the evaporator coil during operation of the HVAC system. Additionally, the HVAC system includes an actuator configured to enable pivoting of the evaporator coil to a target operating angle based on an operating parameter input.
