  • Publication number: 20230302257
Abstract: A medical method of accessing a site in or at a heart of a patient through the vasculature of the patient from a radial or cubital vessel comprises navigating a unilateral catheter to an endocardial site, lungs, or abdominal organs, comprising: advancing the catheter through an opening punctured in a radial access opening or in a cubital vein towards the desired site, when reaching a curve or bifurcation in a blood vessel with a distal end of the catheter, pulling a pull wire of the catheter until a bend of a distal end of the catheter is detectable, rotating the catheter by rotating a handle of the catheter for aligning the radial orientation of the bend of the distal end of the catheter to correspond to a radial orientation of the curve or bifurcation in the blood vessel, pulling the pull wire by manually operating the handle of the catheter until the radius of the bend in the distal end of the catheter corresponds to a radius of the curve or bifurcation in the blood vessel, and pushing the handle for advan

  • Publication number: 20230181179
Abstract: This disclosure is for an endoluminal delivery cannula, for delivery of a substance to an extravascular target site via the vascular system of a human or animal body, wherein the cannula comprises a proximal cannula hub, an elongated proximal, and a tip portion. The tip is tapered towards the distal tip which is preferably provided with a pointed tip for penetrating tissue. The pointed tip may comprise at least one primary facet and two secondary facets, wherein the two secondary facets are arranged proximally of said primary facet. An endoluminal delivery assembly comprises the cannula, a protective catheter adapted for insertion into the vascular system of a human or animal body, and a proximal catheter hub provided at the proximal end of the catheter and adapted for guiding the catheter through the vascular system.

  • Publication number: 20230041785
Abstract: A microbiopsy device for extracting a tissue sample, the microbiopsy device comprising a main body extending between a distal end and a proximal end and adapted to have or assume a shape of substantially uniform transverse width along the length of the main body, wherein the distal end is arranged to enter tissue; the proximal end comprises a mounting interface adapted for connection with an elongated member, or is integrally formed with a solid elongated member; the transverse width of the main body is smaller than 1 mm; and the main body comprises a recess extending in a longitudinal direction of the main body and defining a cavity arranged to capture tissue therein.

  • Publication number: 20220409855
Abstract: Methods of delivering cells and other therapeutic agents to organs and extravascular sites using an endoluminal delivery device are provided that allow for retention of the cells or agents at the delivery site at significantly improved levels as compared to needle delivery. Optimal delivery rates using the endoluminal delivery device are also provided. The methods allow for delivery of a variety of therapeutic agents to organs including heart, kidney and pancreas.

  • Publication number: 20210401413
Abstract: Disclosed is a biopsy device having a tip member with a rearward facing cutting portion for use in a biopsy procedure. The biopsy procedure involves introducing and manoeuvring the device into the tissue of a subject and obtaining a biopsy sample. The biopsy device has an elongate flexible rod member having a proximal end and a distal end that define a first longitudinal axis, and a tip member having a proximal end and a distal end that define a second longitudinal axis. The tip member is located at or towards the distal end of the elongate member and positioned or positionable so that the longitudinal axis of the tip member is angularly offset with respect to the longitudinal axis of the elongate member. The distal end of the tip member is configured to penetrate tissue and the proximal end of the tip member has a cutting portion for cutting tissue.
