    Abstract: A multi-purpose cable crimpring tool includes upper and lower dies configured to compress and deform various types of cable ferrules and/or core pins. When brought together, the upper and lower dies are configured to form a plurality of cable crimping cavities. Some cable crimping cavities are shaped as irregular polygons to allow substantially even distribution of swage loads on a cable ferrule being compressed and deformed therein.
