  • Patent number: 4955496
Abstract: A liner for bags comprising a panel member adapted to form a roll insertable into a bag, the panel including means for securing together overlapped and overlapping portions while permitting selective sizing of the diameter of a cylinder formed by the rolled up panel.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: July 28, 1989
Date of Patent: September 11, 1990
    Inventor: Stanford C. Nelson
  • Patent number: 4830415
Abstract: Locking latch device for use with roll-up doors on trucks and tractor-trailer vehicles which will automatically latch when closing the door and which can only be opened after a pendulous latch member is set to an unlatching position by the use of a release member. A locking device is provided to render the latching mechanism inoperable to prevent unauthorized opening of the roll-up door.

  • Patent number: 4647088
Abstract: Anti-pilferage device for box car doors of both the sliding and plug type in which the device is toward the top of the door out of reach of a person standing on the ground and only accessible to release the latch from the top, by a person standing on a loading dock. The latch cooperates with a keeper and both the keeper and latch are enclosed so access cannot be had to the latch to release the latch by a pole or elongated tool and the like.A pivoted release member is provided for the latch which extends above the latch plates forming a housing for the latch toward the rear ends of said latch plates and is transversely pivoted thereto and is inwardly of the sides of said latch plates to prevent access to said release member by a pole or other tool. The release member has camming engagement with the latch and is operable by hand to cam the latch out of engagement with the keeper and accommodate opening of the door.

  • Patent number: 4598941
Abstract: Pilferage deterrent device for box car, container or trailer doors of the type in which the device is toward the top of the door out of reach of a person standing on the ground, and only accessible to release the latch from the top, by a person standing on a loading dock or elevated platform. The latch cooperates with a keeper and both the keeper and latch are enclosed so access cannot be had to the latch to release the latch by a pole or elongated tool.A pivoted release member termed a trigger extends above a housing for the latch and is transversely pivoted to the housing and protected by the housing to prevent access to said release member from the ground. The release member has camming engagement with the latch and is operable by hand to cam the latch out of engagement with the keeper and accommodate opening of the door.

  • Patent number: 4436604
Abstract: Electrolytic probe adapted for use in a heat transfer system, to ground the positive electrolyte of the water in the heat transfer system, and thereby prevent lime formation, scaling, pitting and corrosion, without the use of chemicals heretofore required to do this. The probe is supported to extend along the flow of water by a teflon seal threaded on the outer end thereof, and threaded within a fitting, threaded in a fitting secured to the inlet for the flow of water to perform its heat transfer operation. The means on the seal accommodating it to be threaded in the fitting are cut off after assembly, to preserve the seal between the probe and fitting.

  • Patent number: 4065223
Abstract: An indexible carbide cutting tool insert and tool holder therefor providing a plurality of right-angled cutting edges positioned to finish cut journals at a negative back rake angle of 1.degree. to 4.degree. with a negative side rake angle of 1.degree. to 4.degree. and with an end relief angle and side relief angle of not less than 1.degree.. The cutting edges include nose cutting radius portions for contour cutting, finish cutting flats and side cutting portions to provide a single indexible insert with the capability of performing a complete machining operation in the finish turning of bearing journals. Chip-breakers are provided to cooperate with each of the cutting edge portions to prevent the formation of long, continuous chips, which are customarily formed in connection with turning steel at high speeds especially with the use of carbide cutting tools.
