Patent number: 5603210Abstract: The instant invention relates to a device for the feeding of fibers (51) to the fiber collection groove (23) of an open-end spinning rotor (2). The latter is covered by a rotor cover (3) whose side toward the spinning rotor (2) contains a fiber guiding element (8) the inner circumferential surface (12) of which, in form of a fiber guiding surface, forms a divergence angle (W1) widening in the direction of the spinning rotor (2). The fiber guiding element (8) extends coaxially into the spinning rotor (2). A fiber feeding channel (14) lets out tangentially into its inner circumferential surface (12).Type: GrantFiled: May 3, 1995Date of Patent: February 18, 1997Assignee: Rieter Ingolstadt Spinnereimaschinenbau AGInventors: Stanislav Didek, Petr Blazek, Alois Stejskal

Patent number: 5414990Abstract: To spin a yarn with an open-end rotor spinning device, the fibers are fed to a fiber guiding surface from which the fibers are deposited on the sliding wall of a spinning rotor after passing over a gap. At the same time, an air stream is guided through the gap into the interior of the spinning rotor and is then removed from the interior of the spinning rotor without passing through the gap again. To produce the air stream, a device for the production of a pressure drop which produces the air flow flowing into the interior of the spinning rotor is assigned to the gap (17).Type: GrantFiled: December 2, 1993Date of Patent: May 16, 1995Assignee: Rieter Ingolstadt Spinnereimaschinenbau AGInventors: Petr Blazek, Stanislav Didek

Patent number: 4553383Abstract: Method of and apparatus for spinning yarns from staple fibers in an air vortex in a stationary spinning tube axially coupled by one of its ends to a stationary air chamber, and by its other end to a sub-atmospheric pressure source. A flow of discrete fibers is supplied into the air chamber onto the wall of an air vortex which entrains, doubles and densifies the fibers before they are taken onto an open end of yarn which is given an additional twist while being withdrawn in the region between the air chamber and a take-off device. A fiber supply duct which opens into the air chamber is oriented toward the wall of the air vortex, an additional twisting device being provided between said twisting device and said air chamber.Type: GrantFiled: December 14, 1983Date of Patent: November 19, 1985Assignee: Vyzkumny ustav bavlnarskyInventors: Stanislav Didek, Ludvik Fajt, Marketa Reymanova, Marie Markova

Patent number: 4322942Abstract: An open-end spinning method and an apparatus wherein a flow of discrete fibers is supplied to a fiber spreading element by which they are spread over the entire periphery of an inner fiber deposit surface of a drum where a fibrous layer is continuously created. Fibers are successively withdrawn from the fibrous layer by taking off the open end of yarn and rotating it about its axis, due to a twisting moment acting on the yarn, such twisting moment being created in a region beyond the drum axis. The yarn can be given an additional twist by causing its open end to revolve about the axis of the drum. The invention enables the attainment of a high degree of the so-called cyclic fiber doubling in the spinning process, a high productivity at a relative low peripheral velocity of the operating elements of the spinning device, and the possibility of manufacturing yarns of various parameters and characteristics in one and the same spinning unit.Type: GrantFiled: July 29, 1980Date of Patent: April 6, 1982Assignee: Vyzkumny ustav bavlnarskyInventors: Ludvik Fajt, Stanislav Didek, Jaromir Kasparek, Jaroslav Storek, Jiri Andres, Zelmira Borovcova, Marie Markova, Marketa Reymanova, Miroslav Stepanek

Patent number: 4281507Abstract: A method of and apparatus for frictional open-end spinning which is an improvement upon that disclosed by the co-assigned U.S. Pat. No. 4,168,601. Continuously supplied separated fibers are deposited onto a first, frictional carrying surface provided on a revolving carrier and designed for conveying the fibers to the mouth of a wedge-like gap defined by said frictional carrying surface and a second frictional surface provided on a second revolving carrier moving in said wedge-like gap in the opposite direction relative to the first, frictional carrying surface. The fibers are twisted to yarn in the mouth of the wedge-like gap due to the contact with said frictional surfaces of which one is convex and the other concave. The yarn is withdrawn from said gap in a lateral direction and the twist propagation is prevented.Type: GrantFiled: May 17, 1979Date of Patent: August 4, 1981Assignee: Vyzkumny ustav bavlnarskyInventors: Stanislav Didek, Ludvik Fajt, Jaroslav Storek, Jiri Andres, Frantisek Cada, Marie Markova

Patent number: 4222222Abstract: There is disclosed an apparatus for the frictional spinning of yarn on the open-end principle. The apparatus includes a mechanism for supplying separated fibers onto one of frictional surfaces provided on respective rotary carriers inserted one in the other and forming a wedge-like gap therebetween in the mouth of which fibers are twisted due to friction with the two frictional surfaces moving in opposite directions in said wedge-like gap, and a mechanism for withdrawing the yarn from said mouth of said wedge-like gap and adapted to prevent any twist propagation, one frictional surface being concave and the other being convex relative to the yarn building region in the mouth of the wedge-like gap. In accordance with the invention a carrier through its front opening situated opposite its second front opening for delivering yarn withdraw from the mouth of the wedge-like gap.Type: GrantFiled: December 26, 1978Date of Patent: September 16, 1980Assignee: Vyzkumny ustav bavlnarskyInventors: Stanislav Didek, Ludvik Fajt, Jaroslav Storek, Jaroslav Slingr, Frantisek Cada, Marie Markova

Patent number: 4168601Abstract: There is disclosed a method of and an apparatus for frictional spinning yarn on the open-end principle. Continuously supplied separated fibers are deposited onto a first, perforated frictional surface provided on a rotary carrier for conveying the fibers to the mouth of a wedge-like gap defined by said frictional surface and another, second, frictional surface provided on another rotary carrier. The second frictional surface moves relative to the first-named carrier, in the opposite direction, and with the first frictional surface twists the fibers in the mouth of said wedge-like gap to yarn, due to a contact with the two frictional surfaces. The yarn is withdrawn sidewards relative to the direction of movement of the frictional surfaces while preventing the twist propagation. In accordance with the invention one frictional surface is concave and the other is convex. This results in a number of advantages, including the elimination of undesirable slippage of the yarn in the yarn building region.Type: GrantFiled: February 28, 1978Date of Patent: September 25, 1979Assignee: Vyzkumny ustav bavlnarskyInventors: Stanislav Didek, Ludvik Fajt, Vaclav Rohlena, Jaromir Kasparek

Patent number: 3938310Abstract: Apparatus for separating fibers in open-end spinning machines, having a combing-out cylinder by which a fibrous sliver supplied by a feeding device is separated in a combing-out zone provided between a card clothing of the combing-out cylinder, and an operating wall of an insert, the cross-section of said zone decreasing, at least in the introductory portion thereof, in the fiber flow direction while the separated and combed-out fibers are conveyed through a duct into a rotary spinning chamber. The insert is provided with at least two differenly concave faces for providing different combing-out zones, said insert being adjustable into positions in which any of said concave faces is adapted to cooperate in providing the combing-out zone, the insert being held in a desired one of its respective positions.Type: GrantFiled: March 4, 1974Date of Patent: February 17, 1976Assignee: Vyzkumny Ustav BavlnarskyInventors: Stanislav Didek, Jaroslav Storek, Miloslav Kubovy, Zdenek Svec, Jan Hrdina, Jaromir Kasparek
