Abstract: Disclosed is a sensor module. The sensor module may be an infrared sensor module for sensing temperature of food being cooked. The sensor module may be implemented or integrated into a closed cooking environment, such as an oven, or in an open cooking environment such as a range. The sensor module includes an air chamber unit to generate an air curtain over the front and back surfaces of a glass cover protecting the sensor. The air curtain prevents condensation on the cover and to maintain it cool. The air curtain improves accuracy of temperature sensed during cooking.

Abstract: A non-contact temperature scanning system capable of high-speed determination of core body temperature TC by estimating a representative skin temperature TS of a subject from a thermal image. The system employs a biophysical model which considers heat transfer properties. In particular, the model takes into consideration of the ambient temperature TA and relative humidity Rh in addition to estimating TS from a thermal image. Once TS is determined, TC can be calculated based on the biophysical model which takes into consideration TA and Rh.
