Patent number: 10709553Abstract: A replacement heart valve may include a tubular anchor member actuatable between an elongated delivery configuration and an expanded deployed configuration, a buckle member fixedly attached to the anchor member, a post member axially translatable relative to the buckle member, the post member including a latch portion configured to engage the buckle member when the anchor member is in the deployed configuration, an actuator member including a pivot pin proximate a distal end thereof, the actuator member being releasably connected to a proximal end of the post member at the pivot pin, and a valve leaflet attached to the post member. The post member may be disposed distal of the anchor member when the anchor member is in the elongated delivery configuration.Type: GrantFiled: July 26, 2016Date of Patent: July 14, 2020Assignee: Boston Scientific Scimed, Inc.Inventors: Andrew J. Publication number: 20150320557Abstract: An apparatus for endovascularly replacing a patient's heart valve comprises an anchor having an outer surface and an inner surface. The anchor is expandable from a collapsed delivery configuration to a fully deployed configuration. A first locking element and a second locking element are attached to the inner surface of the anchor. The first locking element is engageable with the second locking element. At least one of the first locking element and the second locking element has a curved outer surface. Methods for attaching the second locking element to the anchor are also provided.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 20, 2015Publication date: November 12, 2015Applicant: BOSTON SCIENTIFIC SCIMED INC.Inventors: Benjamin T. Sutton, Peter W. Gregg, David J. Paul, Stanley A. Carroll

Patent number: 8998976Abstract: Techniques are described for delivering a replacement valve to a target location in a patient. In one example, a medical device system includes an implantable medical device comprising an expandable anchor, a locking member engaged to a first end of the anchor, two posts configured to engage the locking member, each of the posts being engaged to a portion of the anchor, each post defining a hole at a distal end of the post, and a fastening element extending through each hole of a respective post and being engaged to a second end of the anchor, where, in a locked configuration, the posts are secured to the locking member.Type: GrantFiled: July 12, 2012Date of Patent: April 7, 2015Assignee: Boston Scientific Scimed, Inc.Inventors: Peter W. Gregg, Stanley A. Carroll, Robert W. Zytkewicz, Emma Leung

Publication number: 20100281224Abstract: A method, system, and computer program product for prefetching content from incoming messages. A computer receives an incoming message containing one or more resource links. The computer may then determine if the resource links contained in the incoming message are likely to be accessed. In response to determining that one or more of the resource links are likely to be accessed, the logic determines if the target content of the resource link has previously been cached, and if any previously cached data is current. In response to determining that the requested content has not previously been cached, or is not current, the logic begins downloading the requested content for local consumption. When the cached content is requested, the cached data is provided to the user. Upon receiving requests for the cached content from other connected client terminals, the cached content may also be served to the other requesting client terminals.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 1, 2009Publication date: November 4, 2010Applicant: INTERNATIONAL BUISNESS MACHINES CORPORATIONInventors: Wesley Janming Ho, Jeffrey Kevin Price, Stanley Carroll Wood
