  • Publication number: 20230278785
Abstract: A refuse vehicle includes a vehicle body on a chassis having a frame, an internal combustion engine (ICE), and a transmission coupling the ICE with a plurality of tractive elements. The vehicle body includes an electrically powered body system and a hydraulically powered body system. A first power module is coupled with the ICE and is configured to provide rotary power to a hydraulic pump that is configured to provide hydraulic power to the hydraulically powered body system. A second power module is coupled with the transmission and configured to rotationally couple and decouple an electrical generator with the transmission. The generator is configured to charge at least one battery when rotationally coupled with the transmission. The battery is configured to provide electrical power to the electrically powered body system.

  • Publication number: 20230242336
Abstract: Operating a refuse collection vehicle to collect refuse from a refuse container includes positioning a refuse collection vehicle with respect to a refuse container to be emptied, and manually engaging a switch to initiate a dump cycle to be performed by the refuse collection vehicle on the refuse container. The dump cycle includes engaging the refuse container with a portion of the vehicle, lifting the engaged refuse container to a dump position, and moving the refuse container to release contents of the refuse container into a hopper of the refuse collection vehicle. The dump cycle continues to completion as long as the switch remains manually engaged.

  • Publication number: 20230202752
Abstract: A refuse collection vehicle includes a fork assembly that is operable to engage one or more fork pockets of a refuse container, a lift arm that is operable to lift a refuse container, and at least one sensor that is configured to collect data indicating a position of the one or more fork pockets of the refuse container. A position of at least one of the fork assembly or the lift arm is adjusted in response to the data collected by the at least one sensor.

  • Patent number: 4369957
Abstract: A device for clamping and aligning a pair of plates in selected angular relationship, so that the plates may be joined by welding or the like, clamps the same in the selected angular relationship with adjacent edges thereof in close proximity. The device holds the plates for being joined at one or more spaced points along their adjacent edges, whereafter the device is removable to permit the plates to be joined along the entirety of the length of their edges.

  • Patent number: 4175734
Abstract: A device for aligning and clamping in position a pair of plates in side by side coplanar relationship, with adjacent edges of the plates closely spaced from one another, in order that the plates may be joined along their edges, is characterized by a lower plate clamp extendable through the space between adjacent edges of the plates and under the plates into engagement with lower surfaces thereof for aligning the lower surfaces in coplanar relationship, and an upper plate clamp movable into engagement with upper surfaces of the plates for gripping the plates between the clamps. When held by the device the plates are in position to be joined along their edges, whereafter the device may be removed from the plates through the space therebetween.

  • Patent number: 4171169
Abstract: A portable washer of lightweight and economical construction is characterized by a body portion having a handle for being held by a user thereof. The body is connectable with a supply of water, and a flexible conduit at an end of the body supports a brush for scrubbing articles such as dishes and the like, and enables the brush to be variously positioned to contact all surfaces of an article being cleaned, irrespective of the configuration of the article. A compartment within the body stores a supply of soap, and a valve on the body is operable by a user of the washer to control both a flow of water through the body and from the brush and introduction of soap into the water, whereby either a soapy washing solution or clear rinse water may be applied to the article being cleansed.
