  • Publication number: 20090121373
Abstract: A method and apparatus for constructing vertical walls using pourable concrete material. The apparatus is in the form of a kit of reusable components. The components are assembled in a series of steps, to form panels, and thereafter, concrete material is poured, in a single pour, in an upper opening between the panels. Once the concrete is set, the panels can be removed and reused. The kit includes base guide members (2), corner formwork panels (18) and corner formply panels (4,5), intermediate formwork panels (13) and intermediate formply panels, (4,5) spacers to maintain placement of the formply panels, and, locking pins (17) to maintain placement of the formwork panels.

  • Patent number: 6044614
Abstract: A method of constructing concrete structures using reusable formwork comprising the steps of positioning and securing base portion formwork comprised of at least a pair of opposing panels; positioning and securing upper portion formwork on top of the base portion formwork, each upper portion formwork comprised of at least a pair of opposing panels; pouring concrete between the panels and allowing it to set; and removing the formwork. The method further comprises the steps of providing blanking panels for windows and doors and providing insulation within the walls.

  • Patent number: 5246640
Abstract: A method and apparatus for constructing a poured concrete wall in which the concrete is poured into forms provided between a pair of parallel-opposing panels having reinforcing therebetween. The panels are supported on frames which are adapted to be clipped together and which are adapted to be positioned on the foundation by upstanding pins set into the foundation. Window and door openings may be provided in the panels with suitable framing surrounding the same.

  • Patent number: 4205890
Abstract: A plug and socket connector for the electric circuits of towing and towed vehicles, incorporating 12 terminals. The connector consists of a plug half and a socket half, each half including a body and a pair of covers removably secured to the body, and a lid for the terminals. Each lid is movable to cover the terminals when the connector halves are disconnected and is movable to be retained in an open position when the connector halves are connected together. Shrouds are also provided for the terminals of each connector half and the covers for each said half are so arranged that they can be individually removed and replaced to allow for ready access to a selected side of a connector half. The covers are arranged whereby they can only be assembled in the correct position and they also serve as handgrips.

  • Patent number: 4137440
Abstract: An electrical slide switch is disclosed which requires no springs to maintain pressure for electrical contact. The switch includes a slidable plunger on which a carrier with an open top is mounted and a contact plate is mounted on top of the carrier. The contact plate includes fingers with downwardly entering contact and an upwardly extending pressure member integral with the plate. The carrier is provided with a hinged lid to close its top and the upwardly extending pressure member is positioned to engage the lid when it is closed. The engagment between the lid and pressure member results in a downwardly force being applied to the pressure member. This downwardly force is transmitted to the fingers, thereby providing sufficient pressure for effective electric contact and cleaning of the contact due to scrubbing.
