  • Publication number: 20220280652
Abstract: The disclosure provides compositions and methods for delivering a payload to cells or tissues that express GLUT4. In some embodiments, the compositions comprise an antibody, or fragment or derivative thereof, that specifically binds to glucose transporter 4 (“GLUT4”) protein, and a therapeutic payload conjugated thereto. In some exemplary embodiments, the compositions are useful for methods of treating a disease or condition in a subject with a genetic mutation in a gene encoding dystrophin protein, wherein the payload comprises a nucleic acid encoding a functional dystrophin protein or functional fragment thereof to ameliorate aspects of the disease.

  • Publication number: 20160220647
Abstract: It is demonstrated herein that nNOS-? is an important modulator of muscle function, and that the loss of nNOS-? contributes to pathogenesis in neuromuscular diseases, including DMD. Furthermore, the impact of the restoration of cytoplasmic and sarcolemma-localized nNOS-? on mdx skeletal muscle pathology and function is demonstrated. Accordingly, provided herein are compositions, including therapeutic and pharmaceutical compositions, comprising nNOS-? fusion proteins and derivatives thereof, and methods of treating neuromuscular disorders using such nNOS-? fusion proteins.

  • Patent number: 4954436
Abstract: A protein antigen related to the dihydro-pyridine-sensitive calcium channel is expressed at high levels by small cell carcinoma of the lung and neuroblastomas. The antigen serves as a marker which can be exploited for diagnosis and therapy of these tumors. Methods of diagnosis and therapy of small cell carcinoma of the lung and neuroblastomas employing monoclonal antibodies which are specific for the dihydropyridine-sensitive calcium channel are also described.
