    Abstract: The present invention relates to a process for producing lithium carbonate from brine by precipitating calcium ions by reacting brine with schoenite to yield carnallite, Gypsum, and lithium, wherein the brine comprises of salts of one or more of sodium, magnesium, and potassium chloride and then reacting that lithium chloride solution with sodium carbonate to give lithium carbonate.

    Abstract: A wood product includes a composite substrate, such as LVL, that includes treated paper wrapped around and glued to the substrate. The paper seals both the face and the edges of the substrate. As a result, in the case of an LVL substrate, the veneer edges, which are less finished and moisture resistant than the face, are sealed.
