  • Publication number: 20230207128
Abstract: Introduced here is an approach for managing errors generated during artificial intelligence-based analysis encrypted data. As an illustrative example, a computing system can may be configured to generate, train, and/or implement machine learning (ML) models to detect or predict aspects of one or more types of cancer based on homomorphically encrypted patient health data. The computing system may selectively identify timing for implementing a noise management mechanism during the data processing for the ML models.

  • Patent number: 7980058
Abstract: The present invention relates to an air compression type engine for aviation. The conventional aircraft engine is complicated in structure, consumes expensive aero fuel, and produces extremely loud noise during operation. Therefore, the present invention employs a turbo-charged air compressor to generate high temperature and high pressure gas in the pressure chamber, and uses the reaction thrust force generated by ejecting the compressed air through the nozzle to make the aircraft vertically take off/land, suspend in the air and fly forwardly. Benefited from the simple structure, the manufacture cost of the aircraft engine can be dramatically decreased. Vertically raising and landing the aircraft can be achieved by changing the ejection directed of the compressed air in the pressure chamber. The commonly used gasoline or diesel, which is cost saving and capable of combusting with a high combustion value, can be used instead of the expensive aviation kerosene. Further, the generated noise is quite small.

  • Publication number: 20070219162
Abstract: The present invention provides a single high-purity liquid comprising a partially fluorinated ether liquid for use as a long-term tamponade agent. Compositions are directed to liquid tamponade agents consisting essentially of DFPE, or to agents comprising a soluble mixture of a partially fluorinated ether and either a silicone liquid (or oil) or a perfluorocarbon liquid (or any other liquid or oil that is clear, colorless, inert and has a low specific gravity). Partially fluorinated ethers that have a specific gravity between 1.1 and 1.5 are well suited to rectify the deficiencies of silicone and perfluorocarbon liquids when they are used as tamponade agents. The soluble mixtures of the invention can be designed to have a specific gravity so that they do not have buoyancy problems (density greater than water), yet having a specific gravity that is not so high as to damage the posterior retina from mechanical forces (specific gravity less than 1.6).

  • Publication number: 20060063972
Abstract: A locking mechanism for an endoscopic overtube comprising a tubular member having a slot extending from the distal end to the proximal end of the tubular member for placement of an endoscope into the lumen configured to slidably receive the endoscope. The slot is cut through a thickened portion that forms a ridge having a plurality of generally transverse or angular holes on opposite sides of the slot. In one embodiment, the overtube is loaded onto the endoscope and then the slot is securely closed by threading an elongated member, such as a string or string-like member, through the holes and pulling the elongated member taut. In another embodiment, the overtube is pre-threaded with the elongated member forming a plurality of loops configured to go over the endoscope and components attached thereto. Once the endoscope is loaded, the elongated member is pulled taut to securely close the slot.

  • Publication number: 20050131403
Abstract: An improved polypectomy snare for removing and retrieving polyps from inside an organ during an endoscopic procedure, such as the colon during a colonoscopy. The improved polypectomy snare has an outer sheath with a tip having a non-planar tip surface shaped and configured so that a cut polyp will better attach to the snare to avoid additional efforts to retrieve the polyp or the loss of the poly. The tip of the outer sheath is configured with one or more spikes having pointed ends to attach to the polyp. In a preferred configuration, the tip has a plurality of spikes extending outwardly from the tip and configured in a generally saw-toothed shape. The spikes can be integral with the outer sheath, directly attached to the outer sheath or part of a cap member that attaches to the sheath.
