Abstract: An asset management system includes a storage device configured to store an inventory list of a plurality of assets located in more than one location, the assets including physical product. An RFID tag communicating a unique identifier is attached to each asset. The system further includes a system controller that manages the inventory list, and is accessible to a unique user at each location through a web-accessible interface system. The interface system is configured to manage the inventory list and the plurality of assets. The controller defines roles for each unique user of the interface system. Each role grants unique access to information in the inventory list and unique tasks to perform actions on the list and assets. One of the actions includes automatically decrementing an asset from the inventory list upon absence of an RFID tag associated with the asset during an RFID scanning of assets.
