  • Patent number: 8055556
Abstract: A user interface for receiving time entries in a timesheet is described. This user interface includes a user-interface element in the form of a calendar, where the calendar contains one or more time entries associated with at least a financial activity. Moreover, a given time entry, which is associated with a corresponding block of time, is graphically represented as an adjustable region in the calendar. Additionally, a user can change one or more temporal parameters associated with the time entry by using a pointing device to select and modify one or more geometric properties of the adjustable region.

  • Patent number: 5630122
Abstract: In a computer database system, a method and system are provided for interactively and iteratively constructing a query using a table metaphor displayed on a user display. Alterations are made directly to the table metaphor by the database user. The alterations relate to adding, deleting, or combining columns of attributes and limiting ranges of attribute values. The alterations are registered and the table metaphor updated to reflect the registered alterations. The table metaphor can be repeatedly used to further register additional alterations. The query corresponding to the table metaphor in its final form is run against the full database to generate a report in the format indicated by the table metaphor.

  • Patent number: 5454444
Abstract: A vehicle assembly 20 which may be used for the purpose of selectively spraying weed killing chemicals onto weeds located amongst crops 21 planted in rows 22. The vehicle assembly 20 includes four user support assemblies 23, namely a master control support assembly 100 and three slave control support assemblies 101, supported by support means 24 and 84 on transportation means 25 which is capable of movement along the furrows such that the user assemblies 23 are positioned above respective rows 22 of crops. The master control user support assembly 100 is provided with direction control means 67 for selectively controlling the movement of the vehicle assembly in either a forward or a reverse direction and steering actuation means 68 for steering the vehicle assembly 20 and wherein the remainder of said user support assemblies 101 are slave control positions having direction control means 72 for selectively controlling the movement of the vehicle assembly in either a forward or a reverse direction.

  • Patent number: 4253619
Abstract: Apparatus for handling elongate flexible material, particularly collapsible plastics irrigation piping is disclosed comprising a frame, a reel rotatably mounted to the frame, and means on the frame for driving the reel at variable speed. A guide roller is attached to the frame to be movable with respect to the reel under the action of tension in the material which, in operation, extends from the ground, around the roller and onto the reel. Means are provided responsive to the movement of the roller relative to the reel for varying the speed of the reel, thereby to maintain the tension on the material within predetermined limits.
