    Abstract: The present invention discloses a non-piercing, non-shearing fastener, die button, fastener and panel assembly and method for installing the fastener. The fastener has a head with a flange and barrel which define a retention area and barrel cavity. The retention area receives a portion of the panel and the barrel cavity receives a portion of the panel to lock panel material into the retention area and wrap panel material around the barrel.
