  • Patent number: 6931868
Abstract: The air conditioning system for conditioning of an airflow stream uses a fluid flow system to control operational modes of heating, cooling, dehumidifying freeze protection and defrost. The fluid flow system allows an air conditioning system to operate using a hot fluid source without the need for a gas or oil direct heat air stream heat system. The fluid flow system circulates fluid through a reheat coil and a precooling coil or a bypass conduit thereof depending on the operating mode of the system. Routing of fluid flow is controlled by a hot water control valve and a bypass valve under control of a control panel and a check valve stabilizing the fluid pressure minimizing formation of gas bubbles in the fluid which condition may degrade system performance.

  • Patent number: 4444418
Abstract: A carrying case comprising opposed cover members hinged to a central spine portion. The cover members are adapted to be secured together by a slide fastener to form a closed case or laid open to allow viewing of one or more pages of a folio arrangement supported by a frame member which is secured within the case on the spine portion by self-adhering fastener means of the Velcro type. The folio assembly includes an elongated flat metal or plastic frame member which is adapted to support one or more elongated elastic folio support rods for pivotally supporting the folio pages to be turned in the manner of turning pages of a book. The support rods may be elastically deflected to insert separate folio pages in or remove separate folio pages from the folio assembly frame or the entire folio assembly may be quickly inserted in and removed from the case, as desired.

  • Patent number: 4201262
Abstract: A cooler for chilling a working fluid used in a manufacturing or production process comprised of a tank having a reservoir in the bottom and one or more cooling coils mounted above the reservoir. A metering plate is inserted in the tank above the cooling coils to distribute the working fluid to be cooled over the refrigerant-containing coil at a predetermined rate. The metering plate has a plurality of tapered metering holes in a circular pattern aligned with each coil of the cooling coils mounted in the tank. The metering holes evenly distribute the hot working fluid over the cooling coils. Distribution and overflow barriers are provided on the metering plate to provide a constant maximum flow of hot working fluid through the cooling tank. Refrigerant is pumped through the cooling coils from the bottom to the top in a counterflow action with respect to the hot working fluid to be cooled.
