  • Patent number: 10620107
Abstract: Systems and methods of fabricating and functionality patterned nanowire probes that are stable under fluid reservoir conditions and have imageable contrast are provided. Optical imaging and deconstruction methods and systems are also provided that are capable of determining the distribution of nanowires of a particular pattern to determine the mixing between or leakage from fluid reservoirs.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 5, 2015
Date of Patent: April 14, 2020
Assignee: The Regents of the University of California
Inventors: Paul S. Weiss, Anne M. Andrews, Andrea L. Bertozzi, Stanley J. Osher
  • Publication number: 20190187040
Abstract: Systems and methods of fabricating and functionalizing patterned nanowire probes that are stable under fluid reservoir conditions and have imageable patterns are provided. Additional embodiments possess functionalized molecular groups to collect content data of desired chemical species from a fluid reservoir in order to detect even highly dilute quantities of the desire chemical species in the reservoir. Optical imaging and deconstruction methods and systems are also provided that are capable of determining the distribution of nanowires of a particular pattern to determine the mixing between or leakage from fluid reservoirs.
    Type: Application
    Filed: February 25, 2019
    Publication date: June 20, 2019
Applicant: The Regents of the University of California
Inventors: Paul S. Weiss, Anne M. Andrews, Andrea L. Bertozzi, Stanley J. Osher

  • Publication number: 20140278274
Abstract: A method includes receiving one or more learning configurations, each learning configuration related to an acceptable arrangement of items within an environment. The method further includes extracting from the learning configurations representative item information and relationship information, synthesizing a configuration of items for a defined environment based at least in part on the extracted representative item information and relationship information, determining a cost of the synthesized configuration, and, based on the cost of the synthesized configuration, identifying the synthesized configuration as acceptable.

  • Patent number: 8472685
Abstract: A method and apparatus for volumetric image analysis and processing is described. Using the method and apparatus, it is possible to obtain geometrical information from multi-dimensional (3D or more) images. As long as an object can be reconstructed as a 3D object, regardless of the source of the images, the method and apparatus can be used to segment the target (in 3D) from the rest of the structure and to obtain the target's geometric information, such as volume and curvature.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: August 11, 2010
Date of Patent: June 25, 2013
Assignee: The Regents of the University of California
Inventors: Aichi Chien, Bin Dong, Yu Mao, Stanley J. Osher
