The accessories may include a body portion adapted to fit over the soundhole of the instrument and a mesh portion defined by a plurality of apertures that may be dimensioned so that items that may be used with the instrument (such as guitar picks) are substantially prevented from passing there through. The body portion may act as a base to which one or more adhesive fasteners may be attached. The body may be flexible or rigid, and may be placed over the soundhole and affixed into place by the adhesive fasteners.
