Abstract: A container, which may or may not be in the form of a cylinder conforming generally to the shape of a cigar, having a wall thickness and constitution which permits water vapor to escape therethrough, but which will not permit water droplets or palpable moisture to pass therethrough and subsequently over-wet the material to be humidified, such as cigars. The container is adapted to house a quantity of highly absorbent material, such as acrylamide potassium or sodium acrylate copolymer, cross-linked. End caps may be used as desired, including end caps with apertures therein to permit an accelerated rate of humidification by allowing more water vapor to escape the interior of the container than is allowed by ordinary osmosis through the walls of the container.

Abstract: A combination tensioning and braking tool providing an improved mechanical means for removing interior portions from plates of plate vitreous material, such as glass. The tool includes a spring-loaded handle and a pair of cooperating jaws, both of which contain a movable head. The tool may be used for opening or running scored lines between holes which are drilled through the sheet by allowing pressure to be alternately applied to the same side of the scored line for the run and then pressure to the opposite side of the scored line for reverse runs. The tool may also be used for braking a cut when the pressure applying surfaces of the head means are in a nonworking position.

Abstract: A drill press and stand providing an improved apparatus for cutting holes in plate vitreous material. The drill press includes a drill motor, a drill tool attached to the drill motor for cutting through the work piece, and a motor support interconnecting to and supporting the drill motor on the stand. The stand includes a base which is attachable to the work surface by a large suction cup which is attached to the lower surface of the stand base. The stand also includes a collar integral to and generally perpendicular to the upper surface of the base into which a mating drill press standard, a part of the motor support may be inserted. The motor support also includes a positioning mechanism for longitudinally moving the drill motor along the standard and may include a biasing spring to counteract the weight of the motor, etc.

Abstract: A functional and aesthetic switch plate providing an extension to a wall toggle switch. The switch plate not only provides a useful mechanical extension to a toggle switch, but has a sliding toggle switch lever extension member which covers its own wear marks and is of sturdy unibody construction. The sliding toggle switch lever extension member is connected to the reflecting rear surface of the base plate by sliding contact members positioned beyond the reflecting base edges to prevent chipping of the reflecting base edges.
