  • Patent number: 7011795
Abstract: The present invention is a device for playing a cartridge for dispersing scented materials into a room. The cartridge generally has a plurality of scent elements supported on a rotatable disk. The device includes a housing, a blower assembly, a platter, a motor, first and second sensors and a control unit. The housing has a cavity for receiving the cartridge and is formed with an air intake and an exhaust port. The blower assembly is mounted within the housing for generating an airflow by drawing air in through the air intake over the cavity to diffuse at least one of the plurality of scent elements out through the exhaust port. The platter is configured to engage the rotatable disk and is rotated by the motor. The platter, first and second sensors and a control unit cooperate to control the rotation of the disk. The device can also include a heating element for activating the scent elements.

  • Patent number: 6543203
Abstract: A machine for engaging/disengaging a cover with a microplate. The machine is manually operated by hand crank. By turning the crank in one direction, a user may engage a cover with microplate. Turning the crank in the opposite direction disengages a cover from a microplate. User safety is enhanced by the machine which isolates the user from direct contact with potentially hazardous material and sharp edged covers.

  • Patent number: 5851119
Abstract: An interactive electronic graphics tablet is provided which utilizes two windows, one large window for the insertion of a standard sheet of paper or other material allowing the user to draw images on the paper and another smaller second window. A cartridge having various icons, such as animal images, is clicked into place in the smaller window. The device is configured such that the paper overlays a touch sensitive pad. The operation of the present invention allows the user to assign any cell of the drawn page corresponding to XY coordinates to particular sounds correlated to the icons in the smaller second window by touching respective locations and icons.
