  • Patent number: 11918482
Abstract: An expandable interbody implant adapted for insertion at least into a disc space, between two adjacent vertebrae of a spine. An upper member and a lower member are pivotally connected at least by a drive link. A bone graft storage portion packed with a selected volume of bone growth material. A translational wall is provided between the bone graft storage portion and a trailing end of the implant. An actuator engages the bone graft storage portion, pushing it forward into engagement with the drive link, which pivots upward, moving the upper member upward away from the lower member. Upward movement of the upper member raises the translational wall to a position to assist in retention of the selected volume bone graft material within the hollow portion of the bone graft storage portion. Upward rotation of the drive link brings a face thereof into contact with a front of the bone graft storage portion, thereby retaining near constant volume of the bone graft material.

  • Patent number: 11701097
Abstract: A surgical retractor includes a first member defining a longitudinal axis. The first member includes a blade disposed in spaced apart relation relative to the longitudinal axis and a grip surface. A second member has a blade disposed in spaced apart relation relative to the longitudinal axis and a grip surface. The grip surfaces are configured to be drawn together along the longitudinal axis such that the blades are engageable with tissue and connected with the grip surfaces such that the grip surfaces provide a tactile feedback of the tissue engagement. Systems and methods of use are disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20220265365
Abstract: Devices and methods used to mount a patient reference frame for image-guided surgery are disclosed. The devices include an adaptable mount having first, second, and third joints that provide up to five axes of movement. One or more of the joints include discrete positions detectable by a visual tracking device to allow re-registration of the patient reference frame.

  • Publication number: 20220249180
Abstract: A re-registration method includes receiving a first image depicting a reference frame attached to a patient and oriented in a first pose relative to the patient, the first image obtained by an imaging device mounted to a movable support that has been locked in a selected pose; receiving a second image depicting the reference frame oriented in a second pose relative to the patient, the second image obtained by the imaging device with the movable support locked in the selected pose; and updating a registration between the reference frame and the patient to reflect that the reference frame has been moved from the first pose to the second pose.
