In one aspect, a computer-based method for facilitating a transfer of a fixed income security includes receiving an indication from a computer-based interface device that a initiating party seeks a counterparty for a financial transaction involving the transfer of the fixed income security, accessing data in an electronic database relating to a plurality of potential counterparties for the financial transaction and assigning to one or more of the plurality of potential counterparties an indication as to likelihood that the potential counterparty will engage in the financial transaction. The indication of likelihood that the potential counterparty will engage in the financial transaction is based on the data in the electronic database.
