  • Publication number: 20050109334
Abstract: An accessory for a conventional fireplace grate that is positioned on top of the fireplace grate and which supports a synthetic firelog thereon. The accessory provides better support for the synthetic log than the grate alone, and the firelog therefore bums longer than if it were placed on the fireplace grate without the accessory. The present invention provides a handy accessory that adapts fireplace grates that are designed primarily for real wood to adequately support synthetic logs.

  • Patent number: 5703925
Abstract: A support for an x-ray cassette which enables an x-ray cassette to be located and moved beneath a patient support surface. The support includes a spade on which an x-ray cassette can be located such as to be positioned beneath the patient support surface. The spade is located on a sliding surface. A handle permits manipulation of the cassette spade over the sliding surface. A raising and lowering mechanism controlled by an operating handle enables the cassette to be raised upwardly to locate closely beneath the patient support surface. An indicator enables the position of the spade to be determined. The indicator is mounted by a post which is engageable with frame to limit the extent by which the spade can be moved transversely in one direction with respect to the patient support surface.

  • Patent number: 4189696
Abstract: A fuse element for a cartridge fuse-link comprises a thin metal wire helically wound about a thin flexible core consisting of an electrically and heat insulating filament. Spaced sections of the winding at opposite ends of the fuse element are metallized so as to short-circuit the turns in these sections. The short-circuited sections are electrically interconnected by the active turns of an intermediate section which constitutes the fusible link. The fuse element is disposed in an insulating cartridge with its short-circuited sections connected to conductive end caps on the cartridge.
