    Abstract: Various implementations disclosed herein include devices, systems, and methods that present content items (e.g., movies, TV shows, home-made videos, etc.) on electronic devices such as HMDs. Some implementations adjust what is being displayed by the electronic devices to mitigate optical module-based artifacts (e.g., ghosting). For example, in an HMD with a catadioptric lens, a mirror layer may leak some light to produce ghosting artifacts that may be mitigated by adjusting brightness, dynamic range, contrast, light-spill, color, etc. Some implementations utilize adjustments that are based on content item awareness (e.g., adjustments based on the peak brightness of the scene in a movie that is being displayed within an extended reality (XR) environment, etc.). Some implementations provide adjustments based on environment awareness (e.g., how dark is the surroundings or pass-through environment) and/or optical module modeling.

A pump fluidly connected to the fluid port can provide a cell culture medium to the plurality of culture compartments.     Abstract: A sample loading device may include a top plate and a base plate, and the sample loading device can be roughly divided into two portions: a loading portion and a holding portion. The present invention is advantageous because the test sample is introduced by the sample loading device, which has been designed for a standard T-peel test, so the integrity of the sample introducing process will not be affected even though a different operator is conducting the process. Furthermore, it is easy to for the operator to load the test sample to the sample loading device, as well as transferring the sample loading device to the tensile testing machine, so the errors during the sample loading process can be significantly reduced. In other words, the T-peel test results can be more reliable when the test sample is introduced by the sample loading device in the present invention.

    Abstract: A multi-layered membrane may include a first layer made by polytetrafluoroethylene polymer (PTFE), a second layer made by fluorinated ethylene propylene polymer (FEP), a third layer made by a reinforcing unit, and a fourth layer made by PTFE. The second and third layers are sandwiched between the first and the fourth layers, and the reinforcing unit is configured to span a bone cavity and used for fixation to bone surrounding the bone cavity. The reinforcing unit is configured to form a desired shape prior to placement on the bone defect and maintain the formed shape upon placement. In one embodiment, the reinforcing unit has multiple elongated members forming a junction or junctions, and the elongated members have a free distal end that extends away from the junction; and at least one elongated member has an enlarged appendage formed in the free distal end spaced apart from the junction.

    Abstract: A medical barrier made by micro porous expanded polytetrafluoroethylene (ePTFE) is disclosed. The medical barrier allows the attachment and ingrowth of cells and tissue to within one, two or several cellular length, but not across the sheet material, and the tissue can still be pulled or peeled apart from the micro porous sheet with non-surgical and non-traumatic procedures. This medical barrier of the present invention is particularly useful in guided tissue regeneration in the repair of bone defects, as for example in the repair of alveolar bone defects. The medical barrier prevents the entry of rapidly migrating gingival tissue cells into the defect and allows the alveolar bone to regenerate.
