  • Patent number: 10827271
Abstract: A system includes a logic device configured to cause the system to perform operations. The operations include requesting, from a peripheral device coupled to a host device, a device descriptor of the peripheral device, receiving, from the peripheral device, the device descriptor including at least two configurations. A first configuration includes an audio communications protocol having a plurality of selectable audio bit-rates and a second configuration including a plurality of selectable audio bit-rates and burst-rates. The operations further include selecting, from the first configuration and the second configuration based, at least in part, on a configuration of the host device, wherein the host device is configured to select the second configuration when the host device is compatible with the second configuration and select the first configuration when the host device is not compatible with the second configuration.

  • Patent number: 10601599
Abstract: An audio processing device comprises audio input circuitry operable to receive audio input signals and to process the audio input signals to generate audio samples at a first rate. The audio processing device further comprises a first trigger engine operable to detect a keyword within the audio samples. Also, the audio processing device comprises a delay buffer operable to continuously receive and store the audio samples. The delay buffer is further operable to transfer the audio samples that are stored within the delay buffer to a host across a data bus at a second rate, which is faster than the first rate. Further, the delay buffer is operable to transfer the audio samples that are stored within the delay buffer to the host at the first rate, after the stored audio samples are transmitted.
