    Abstract: The present invention relates to a method of manufacturing thin-walled containers from film web. The method includes the steps of: manufacturing a tubular structure from at least one film web; forming at least one fold projecting into the tubular structure; and ultrasonically joining sections of film webs of the folded tubular structure lying flat and parallel on top of one another to form the containers. The invention also includes an apparatus for carrying out the method of the invention.
