  • Patent number: 6831376
Abstract: A method and apparatus for unlocking a trunk lid of a motor vehicle is suggested which ensures that a person in the interior of the trunk can free himself from this trunk. For this purpose, an unlocking handle is provided in the interior which, when it is operated and the vehicle is standing still, unlocks the trunk lid. If, when the unlocking handle is operated, the vehicle is driving, a delay time is started after whose expiration the trunk lid is released.

  • Publication number: 20040227354
Abstract: A door lock for a motor vehicle has an operable driving element and an output element forming a closure of the door lock. A torque transmitting device connects the driving element with the output element and has a bendable shaft section and drivers each arranged at the ends of the shaft section. One driver is non-rotatably connected with the driving element and the other driver is non-rotatably connected with the output element. For obtaining a cost-effective door lock, the torque transmitting device is constructed in one piece of a plastic material together with its drivers and the flexible shaft section.

  • Patent number: 6695958
Abstract: The invention relates to a sensor for detecting substance concentration or activity or for determining the presence of substances based on electrochemical reactions. The electrochemical sensor comprises an electrode with surfaces inside the electrode, wherein electrochemical detection reactions occur. Said sensor guarantees high flow densities and is suitable for miniaturization. A substance-recognizing agent is advantageously placed in the electrode in contact with the inner surfaces. This enables not only short response times and long service life but also measurements with excellent linearity.

  • Patent number: 6595577
Abstract: An air guiding device for a motor vehicle includes an air guiding element that is displaceable by a deployment device, between operative and inoperative positions. In its inoperative position, it is lowered with respect to a stationary vehicle body shell and, in its operative position it is deployed outward, projecting beyond the vehicle body shell. The deployment device has at least one deployment element with a deployment arm that is displaceably disposed in a guide housing. The air guiding element is arranged on the fastening end of the deployment arm. The deployment element is equipped with a manually operable adjusting device in order to align the air guiding element in its inoperative position relative to the vehicle body shell. To adjust the air guiding element in its inoperative position relative to the vehicle body shell, the deployment element has an internal or external-thread section on its fastening end as an adjusting arrangement.
