    Abstract: There is provided electromagnetic actuator. The electromagnetic actuator comprises a mover, a tubular coil and a tubular coil holder. The mover has a magnet. The tubular coil holder holds the tubular coil. The tubular coil holder has a cylindrical inner space for receiving the mover. The tubular coil and the magnet are configured to cooperate with each other to generate a force to move the mover relative to the coil holder along an axial axis. The mover comprises a ferromagnetic element arranged to change an inductance of the tubular coil in dependency on a position of the mover relative to the tubular coil holder. Further, there is provided a valve for opening and closing a conduit. The valve comprises the electromagnetic actuator.

The wireless system comprises: a data collecting device with an RF receiver; a plurality of wireless signaling devices with an RF transmitter, an adjustable room setting, a multi-color light source, and a push button; and a computing device with analysis software, and communication means for transmitting analysis date to viewing devices having a color display. When the button is pushed, a specific color is shown, the color is linked to the room-type and is set during configuration. The same color is used in the viewing devices. This allows easy and intuitive configuration, and easy and intuitive interpretation of the analysis data.

    Abstract: A thin target wafer of silicon includes a light receiving surface which is mounted to an inner faceplate surface of a pickup tube envelope by an interposed region of transparent adhesive. The peripheral edge of the adhesive is sealed by a conductive sealant material to substantially prevent outgassing of the adhesive within the interior of the envelope. In one embodiment, a conductive sealant material is provided by which electrical contact from the wafer to an electrical connector, extending external to the envelope, is established.A method of assembly of the wafer with the faceplate is provided wherein residual bubbles of the interposed flowable adhesive are substantially collapsed by assembly of the wafer and the faceplate in a vacuum, and, thereafter, exposing the wafer-faceplate assembly to atmospheric pressure.
