Patent number: 7868857Abstract: A method and system for compensation of non-uniformities in light emitting device displays is provided. The system includes a module for estimating degradation of an entire pixel circuit based on measurement of a part of the pixel circuit. Based on the estimation, a correction factor is produced to correct non-uniformity of the display.Type: GrantFiled: April 12, 2006Date of Patent: January 11, 2011Assignee: Ignis Innovation Inc.Inventors: Arokia Nathan, Stefan Alexander, Peyman Servati, G. Publication number: 20100315449Abstract: A system for maintaining a substantially constant display white point over an extended period of operation of a color display formed by an array of multiple pixels in which each of the pixels includes multiple subpixels having different colors, and each of the subpixels includes a light emissive device. The display is generated by energizing the subpixels of successively selected pixels, and the color of each selected pixel is controlled by the relatives levels of energization of the subpixels in the selected pixel. The degradation behavior of the subpixels in each pixel is determined, and the relative levels of energization of the subpixels in each pixel are adjusted to adjust the brightness shares of the subpixels to compensate for the degradation behavior of the subpixels. The brightness shares are preferably adjusted to maintain a substantially constant display white point.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 16, 2010Publication date: December 16, 2010Applicant: Ignis Innovation Inc.Inventors: G. Publication number: 20100146514Abstract: An execution management method includes providing an execution plan, balancing an execution load across a plurality of servers, automatically interpreting the execution plan, and re-driving a failed test to another of the plurality of servers if the test case fails on an originally selected available server. The execution plan includes a plurality of test cases and criteria corresponding to the test cases. More than one of the plurality of test cases may be run on each of the plurality of servers at a same time in parallel. Each of the plurality of servers is run independently.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 10, 2008Publication date: June 10, 2010Applicant: International Business Machines CorporationInventors: Stefan Alexander, Jason F. Patent number: 7422103Abstract: The apparatus comprises a base portion (2) and at least two arms (1) resiliently cantilevered from the base portion (2), the inner ends of the arms (1) forming a button-like member (4) and each having a projection (4A) for engaging on the outwardly facing surface of a compact disk (10) held on the apparatus. Depression of the button-like member (4) causes the projections (4A) to move towards each other until their engagement on the disk (10) is released. An upstand (6) surrounds the disk (10) and is positioned close thereto so as to restrict movement of the disk (10) within its own plane. The inner ends (4) of the arms (1) may be shaped to reduce the risk of forces applied thereto in the plane of the disk (10) causing the disk (10) to be released. Finger recesses (6A) in the upstand may be formed so as to inhibit access to the edge of a disk (10) whilst held by the apparatus but provide access thereto once the disk (10) has been released. 3-arm release mechanisms are also described.Type: GrantFiled: August 15, 2006Date of Patent: September 9, 2008Assignee: Meadwestvaco CorporationInventors: Stefan Alexander Pijanowski, Anthony Henry Joseph Fraser, Peter Antony Farrar

Patent number: 7404484Abstract: Apparatus (19) for holding information storage media, such as a CD or DVD, in combination with a releasable security member (8) insertable into the apparatus for inhibiting removal of the storage media from the apparatus, e.g. by inhibiting access to the storage media by locking the apparatus in a closed configuration and/or by locking the storage media to the apparatus. The apparatus is adapted, e.g. by knowing one or more slots (12, 24) therein, to receive part of the security member therein and the security has at least one projection (9A, 10A) for inserting into the apparatus, e.g. through the slot (12, 24). Modification t the apparatus to enable it to receive a security member are described as well as different types of security members. Apparatus for releasing the security member from the apparatus holding the storage media is also described.Type: GrantFiled: November 12, 2001Date of Patent: July 29, 2008Assignee: Meadwestvaco CorporationInventors: Peter Antony Farrar, Anthony Henry Joseph Fraser, Stefan Alexander Pijanowski, Robert Johnston

Patent number: 6863176Abstract: The apparatus comprises: a base portion (1); inwardly extending radial arms (2) resiliently cantilevered from the base portion (1); disk-engaging means (3) at the inner ends of the arms (2) for releasably engaging the central hole of a disk (11) and supporting the center of the disk (11) away from the base portion (1). Each arm (2) has first pivot means (9) in the region where the arm (2) joins the base portion (1) and second pivot means (10) radially inward thereof. Depression of the disk-engaging means (3) towards the base portion (1) causes the inner ends of the arms (2) and the center of the disk (11), to be depressed towards the base portion (1), the arms (2) initially pivoting about the first pivot means (9) and subsequently pivoting about the second pivot means (10) until retention of the disk (11) by the disk-engaging means (3) is released. This enables the thickness of the apparatus to be reduced, e.g. to 4 mm or less.Type: GrantFiled: September 18, 2001Date of Patent: March 8, 2005Assignee: DUBOIS, Ltd.Inventors: Peter Antony Farrar, Anthony Henry Joseph Fraser, Stefan Alexander Pijanowski
