  • Patent number: 6183182
Abstract: In a fastening element (1) for fastening insulating sheets and if necessary sealing sheets to a solid base there are provided a screw (5) and a large-surface washer (6), wherein the screw (5) has a drilling point (7), a screw shank (9) provided at least partly with a threaded region (8) as well as a screw head (10). The washer has a central hole (21) for introducing the screw shank. A tubular extension (20) aligned axially parallel to the screw shank (9) to be inserted adjoins the central hole (21) in the washer (6). Sections or parts of this extension (20) engage by plastic deformation in the threaded region (8) of the screw shank (9) to achieve preassembled retention of the washer (6) and screw (5).

  • Patent number: 5951225
Abstract: In the large-area washer with an aperture for fastener means, there are engagement components on the surface in the fastening direction of the washer. The engagement components engage a cover strip that is to be fastened. The washer also has stiffeners in the form of beads. Unreinforced corner regions of the washer lie radially outside the stiffeners relative to the aperture and can be elastically resiliently bent about an imaginary line at an acute angle to two central axes of the washer. Engaging components may be formed in these corner regions.

  • Patent number: 5934855
Abstract: A large-surface plain washer (1) has an opening (5) for inserting a fastener. Engagement elements (1) that increase the engagement with a plate and/r web to be fastened are provided at the surface of the washer (1) that faces in the fastening direction. In addition, projecting spacers (17) shaped as tongues (26) that become effective when several washers (1) are stacked are provided at the lower side of the washer (1). The free end of these tongues (26) may be supported on the top side of the plain washer located directly underneath, so that the washers may be stacked without causing the engagement elements (13) of different washers (1) to engage each other. Individual washers (1) may thus be easily separated from a stack of washers (1), either by rotating or by moving the lowermost washer.

  • Patent number: 5927497
Abstract: In a pack of substantially parallel-stacked transportable washers, at least two through-holes are provided in each washer, the two legs of a substantially U-shaped metal or plastic wire being positioned in the two through-holes of the stack of washers. The free ends of the legs projecting beyond the stack are bent over to positions oriented at approximately right angles to the respective legs. By appropriate force on the crosspiece, or on an extension, the wire is pulled back out of the stack of washers, the free ends being restraightened in the process.

  • Patent number: 5915903
Abstract: In a large-area washer (1) there is an aperture for the insertion of a fastener and a bead (16) to stiffen the washer (1). To provide better engagement with a plate and/or web to be fastened, there are engagement components (13) on the underside of the washer (1) which are pressed out of the whole material of the washer (1) and project approximately perpendicularly downwards from it. The engagement components (13) are conical or truncated cones.
