  • Patent number: 12258661
Abstract: The invention relates to a device and a method for producing layers whose layer thickness distribution can be adjusted in coating systems with horizontally rotating substrate. A very homogeneous or a specific non-homogeneous distribution can be adjusted. The particle loading is also significantly reduced. The service life is significantly higher compared to other methods. Forming of parasitic coatings is reduced.

  • Publication number: 20240393514
Abstract: A high refractive index quantizing nanolaminate comprises a sequence of alternating first laminas made of a high refractive index material having a first absorption edge and second laminas of a barrier material having a second absorption edge. The second absorption edge is by at least 0.1 eV higher than the first absorption edge. The first laminas define potential wells delimited by the second laminas. An effective absorption edge of the high refractive material in the potential wells is by at least 0.1 eV higher than the first absorption edge; and the high refractive material is a semiconductor.

  • Patent number: 12048130
Abstract: A cooling device for dissipating heat from articles to be cooled, such as power electronic modules, having at least one preferably rigid heat sink which consists in particular of solid material, preferably composed of metal, for example composed of aluminium, and which is intended to absorb heat from one or more articles to be cooled, and having a cooling fluid chamber for accommodating cooling fluid, in particular cooling liquid, to which the heat absorbed by the heat sink can be transferred. The cooling device has at least two preferably rigid heat sinks which consist in particular of solid material and which are connected to one another in an articulated manner, in particular by way of a heat sink joint, in such a way that the two heat sinks are movable relative to one another in different, in particular parallel planes.

  • Publication number: 20180136369
Abstract: A coated object and a method for producing a coated object are disclosed. In an embodiment, the coated object includes a substrate and an optical coating disposed on the substrate, wherein the optical coating includes a reflection-reducing layer sequence, which includes a covering layer with a refractive index nA and at least one diamond layer with a refractive index nD1>nA, wherein the diamond layer is disposed between the covering layer and the substrate and includes diamond crystals, and wherein the diamond layer has a layer thickness of less than 500 nm.

  • Publication number: 20120164051
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for the enhanced production of insulating layers by High Power Impulse Magnetron Sputtering (HiPIMS) or High Power Pulsed Magnetron Sputtering (HPPMS). This method is preferably used for the production of oxynitride layers with variable amounts of oxide and nitride, preferably based on silicon and aluminium.
