    Abstract: A rearview mirror supporting assembly is provided for use on a vehicle. A carrier for the rearview mirror supporting assembly contains a stiffening frame. The carrier is configured to receive a foam element internally to encapsulate and further stiffen the frame. The carrier is attached to the vehicle and a mirror may be affixed to the carrier.
