  • Publication number: 20240261947
Abstract: A calibrating tool may include a clamping sleeve and a fixing ring. The clamping sleeve may include a plurality of radially displaceable clamping jaws extending in a finger-like manner in an axial direction. The plurality of clamping jaws may each have a free end and a conically outwardly widening outer surface disposed at the free end. The fixing ring may be arranged on the clamping sleeve in an axially displaceable manner. The fixing ring may have a conical internal surface area. The plurality of clamping jaws may move radially inwards when the fixing ring is pushed on and the conical internal surface area of the fixing ring is in contact with the conically outwardly widening-external outer surface of each of the plurality of clamping jaws.

  • Patent number: 12005550
Abstract: A method for mounting a shaft in a bearing track of an internal combustion engine, at least one sealing ring is mounted on the shaft such that the at least one sealing ring is widened and is pushed onto a region of the shaft, and at least one circumferential groove is formed on an external diameter of the shaft so that the sealing ring is arranged in the groove. The method may include positioning a calibrating tool having at least two clamping jaws over the at least one sealing ring, displacing the clamping jaws radial inward such that the at least one sealing ring is pushed onto the shaft in the region of the groove, and pressing the at least one sealing ring into the respective groove and force-fitting and form-fitting holding of the sealing ring in the groove.

  • Publication number: 20220250220
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for mounting a shaft (4), in which at least one sealing ring (2) is mounted on the shaft (4) such that said sealing ring engages into a circumferential groove (3). It is essential to the invention here that a calibrating tool (1) having at least two radially displaceable partially circular clamping jaws (6) or a band clamp (7) is used, in order to press the sealing ring (2) into the respective groove (3) and to hold it in a force-fitting and form-fitting manner.

  • Patent number: 8931339
Abstract: A method which allows especially the extrapolation of the measured value at the upper and lower end of a measuring range where normally no direct measurement range where normally no direct measurement is possible by superposition of interfering signals, for example by reflection on a radar antenna. In the presence of strong interference signals, for example by reflection of a radar antenna. In the presence of strong interference signals, which are for example caused by the natural resonance of the container or neck in which the measuring device is mounted, the direct level indicator signal can be regularly used if it has a high amplitude caused by a superposition with the interfering signal lies between two interfering signals and does not extend beyond these, the level indicator value can be interpolated by the shift of the signals from the point of reflection.

  • Patent number: 7145349
Abstract: The invention relates to methods and a circuit for increasing the interference resistance of a time frame reflectometer, in particular with respect to high frequency irradiation. A transmitted pulse (XS) is generated at a pulse repeater frequency (fprf) and coupled to a wave guide (4). A return signal (Xprobe) is returned to the wavwguide (4) by a reflector (14) which is connected to said waveguide (4) and is scanned for time-expanded representation as a reflection profile with scan pulses (XA) which are repeated at a scan frequency (fA) and measurement values are continuously calculated from said reflection profiles, expressing the distance from the reflector (14) to the process connection.

  • Patent number: 6486826
Abstract: An arrangement for the precise measuring of the distance with a FMCW radar device having a frequency-variable digitally-actuated oscillator to generate a transmitting frequency which can be tuned over a predetermined frequency range. The digital actuation involves the use of a digital frequency generator which derives in predetermined frequency steps a references signal from a fixed-frequency oscillator signal. The frequency of the frequency-variable oscillator is adjusted in a phase-locked loop linking it to the references signal.

  • Patent number: 6107957
Abstract: A FMCW radar tank level gauge (14) that measures a level (13) in a tank (10) by obtaining a set of phase shift data points of mixed transmitted waves and received waves. The set of spectral data phase shift values has a received target marker indicating the level. An adaptive set of masking threshold phase shift values corresponding to at least a portion of the spectral data phase shift values are calculated. The adaptive set of masking threshold values are compared with the corresponding spectral data values to identify at least one spectral data value associated with the level. The level of the tank is calculated from at least one spectral data value and the level of the tank is reported.
