  • Publication number: 20220263308
Abstract: The invention relates to a system for protecting an electrical source or an electrical load, having a module comprising an input and an output, and an electronic safety device for the load that can be connected to the source. The module also comprises a voltage monitoring unit, a current monitoring unit, and semiconductor switching units and controllers associated therewith. According to the invention, in order to selectively apply the protection to the source or the protection to the load, a unit for electrical mirroring on the circuit side is provided so that in the event of source protection, the current monitoring unit is applied at the input end and the voltage monitoring unit is applied at the output end, and in the event of load protection, the voltage monitoring unit is applied at the input end and the current monitoring unit is applied at the output end.

  • Patent number: 11088473
Abstract: The invention relates to an overvoltage protection device with at least one overvoltage protection unit, consisting of a socket part and a plug part which can be connected to the socket part and which receives means for protecting against an overvoltage, wherein insulated electric conductors can be introduced into the socket part, said electric conductors being contacted using vampire or cutting clamps, thereby penetrating the conductor insulation, and with contact surfaces which can be found on the socket part and which correspond to mating contact surfaces on the base of the plug part. According to the invention, the socket part is made of multiple parts consisting of a base part and a lever part. The base part is designed as a marble panel and has multiple parallel grooves for inserting and receiving the insulated electric conductors. On one face of the base part, hook-shaped protrusions are provided parallel to the grooves.

  • Patent number: 10529523
Abstract: The invention relates to a short-circuiting device for use in low-voltage and medium-voltage systems for protecting parts and personnel, comprising a switching element which can be operated by the tripping signal of a fault detection device, two mutually opposite contact electrodes having power supply means, wherein contact can be made with said contact electrodes at an electrical circuit having connections at different potentials, furthermore, in at least one of the contact electrodes, a moving contact part which is under mechanical prestress and executes a movement to the further contact electrode in a manner assisted by spring force in the event of a short circuit, a sacrificial element as spacer between the contact electrodes and also having an electrical connection between the sacrificial element and the switching element on the one hand and one of the contact electrodes on the other hand, in order to cause current flow-induced thermal deformation or destruction of the sacrificial element in a targeted m
