  • Patent number: 10774731
Abstract: A compressor of a turbocharger is provided. The compression pipe of the compressor is connected to the intake pipe thereof by a return flow duct, in which an air recirculation valve is arranged for controlling the return flow of already compressed fresh air. The return flow duct opens into a groove of an intake manifold receptacle of the compressor, and at least one return flow opening adjoining the groove and facing an interior of the intake pipe is arranged on an intake manifold of the intake pipe.

  • Patent number: 10690005
Abstract: An exhaust-gas turbocharger for an internal combustion engine has a turbine housing, in which a turbine wheel with a shaft is arranged rotatably. The shaft is mounted rotatably in a bearing housing via at least one piston ring adjacently with respect to the turbine wheel. The bearing housing has a lubricant inflow and a pressureless lubricant outflow for lubricating the shaft, wherein an insulating washer is provided which is clamped in by the turbine housing and the bearing housing and has an opening which is connected to the lubricant outflow in a manner which conducts a lubricant. Passage of lubricant out of the bearing housing into the turbine housing is avoided.

  • Patent number: 10648403
Abstract: In order for charge air to be conducted with the lowest possible losses in pressure in a turbocharger including a blow-off valve, a flow-guiding element in an inlet region is designed such that neutral zones are formed at the flow openings. The flow openings recirculate charge air from the pressure side to the suction side when the blow-off valve is opened. The flow-guiding element avoids vortices and therefore losses in pressure in the region of the flow openings.

  • Patent number: 9038381
Abstract: A device for actuating a flap, in particular a wastegate flap in an exhaust gas turbocharger for an internal combustion engine, includes a control rod, which can be moved by an actuator substantially in an axial direction and is guided in a fist gate via a first pin at the side thereof facing away from the actuator. A carriage is articulated on the first pin and is guided in the first gate via a second pin on the side facing away from the first pin, wherein a pivot lever is articulated on the second pin and, on the side facing away from the second pin, the pivot lever is rotatably mounted in a machine housing, preferably a turbine housing, and the flap is arranged on the pivot lever on the side facing away from the second pin. By way of the articulated design, a non-linear adjustment of the flap is possible.
