  • Patent number: 7506920
Abstract: A crossmember for supporting and limiting torsional forces of an engine unit relative to a mounting frame, particularly a vehicle body, wherein the crossmember is provided with at least one area or one device for introducing torsional forces into the crossmember.

  • Publication number: 20070207621
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for the production of both MOS transistors with extremely low leakage currents at the pn junctions and logic/switching transistors, whose gates are laterally defined by spacers in a p-substrate or a p-well in an n-substrate. The aim of the invention is to provide a method for the production of MOS transistors with extremely low leakage currents that allows for parallel logic/switching transistors.

  • Patent number: 5964140
Abstract: A master cylinder for attachment with a pre-installed brake booster includes a housing having a bore to receive a piston and piston rod. An outermost end of the piston rod has a guide member in the shape of a funnel which centrally aligns a push rod in the brake booster with a blind bore in the piston rod during attachment with the booster. In addition, a sealing boot is provided on the master cylinder to protect the piston rod outer sealing surface from foreign material and foreign objects that would otherwise contact the piston rod surface during shipping, storage, and installation. The sealing boot is attached at one end to the housing and at an opposite end to the guide member.

  • Patent number: 5827962
Abstract: A fluid level indicator for a brake fluid reservoir is disclosed which comprises a socket and circuit board which, once assembled, are installed within a chamber integrally molded with the fluid reservoir. The circuit board is assembled to the socket, which is in turn attached to an instrument panel warning device. In an alternative embodiment, the circuit board is formed integrally with connector pins, and injection molded about to form a socket assembly. The assembly is then attached to the instrument panel and installed within the chamber.

  • Patent number: 5819795
Abstract: A reservoir for a master cylinder including an upper reservoir section forming a portion of a float damping chamber and a lower reservoir section forming a portion of the float damping chamber. The upper reservoir section and the lower reservoir section are so dimensioned so that when they are fastened together, they define the float damping chamber at least one metering orifice formed along their mating surfaces. This metering orifice allows fluid to flow between the float damping chamber and the reservoir of the master cylinder in a controlled manner. Thus, a float device provided within the float damping chamber will not be susceptible to initiating false signals.

  • Patent number: 5743092
Abstract: A combination of a master cylinder and a fluid reservoir includes a master cylinder, a reservoir, and a pair of elastomeric seals between the master cylinder and the reservoir. The master cylinder has a first bore which defines a first reservoir seat and a second bore which defines a second reservoir seat. The first bore and the second bore are spaced a predetermined distance from each other. The master cylinder also has a rigid snap-in attachment seat disposed between the first bore and the second bore. The reservoir has a first cylindrical seating projection and a second cylindrical seating projection spaced the predetermined distance from the first seating projection. A snap-in attachment member is disposed between the first and second seating projections for alignment with and engagement with the snap-in attachment seat. The seals are disposed between each of the first bore and the first seating projection and the second bore and the second seating projection.
