  • Patent number: 12176161
Abstract: The present invention relates to a contactor device for high voltage applications, an energy storage system comprising the contactor device and a corresponding method for controlling the contactor device. A contactor device (100) comprises at least one fixed contact (106), at least one moveable contact (108), which is configured to move between an open position and a closed position, wherein in the closed position, the at least one moveable contact (108) electrically contacts the at least one fixed contact (106), and at least one first actuator (110, 120), which is configured to reversibly move the at least one moveable contact between the open position and the closed position. The contactor device (100) further comprises at least one second actuator (202) which is configured to move the at least one fixed contact (106) into a fired position, wherein in the fired position, the at least one fixed contact (106) is permanently disconnected from the at least one moveable contact (108).
