  • Patent number: 8131604
Abstract: Methods and apparatus provide for routing goods from a source location to a final destination through an intermediate location. An intermediate warehouse task or transfer order is generated with reference to the movement of the goods to the intermediate location rather than movement to the final destination. A routing table can provide information for generating the intermediate warehouse task. A routing path that indicates the intermediate location can correspond to a location determined by a layout-oriented routing path or a process-oriented routing path.

  • Patent number: 7770792
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for providing stock visibility during transportation of stock from between storage facilities. Such systems and methods can provide information identifying the location of stock while it is being transported to a new location and can provide the ability to alter the destination of stock while it is in transit to a new location. Upon the removal of stock from a warehouse, an inventory management system may be updated to indicate a transport unit of a vehicle that is being used to move the stock and, thus, provide visibility of the stock while it is in transit. In addition, through identification of the transport unit moving the stock to a new location, the vehicle transporting the stock may be rerouted to transfer the stock to an alternate location.

  • Patent number: 7669763
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for providing stock visibility in a storage facility, such as a warehouse. Such systems and methods may provide information identifying the location of stock while it is being transported to a new location, as well as may provide the ability to alter the destination of stock while it is in transit to a new location. Upon the removal of stock from a bin, a warehouse management system may be updated to indicate a resource that is being used to move the stock and, thus, provide visibility of the stock while it is in transit. In addition, through identification of the resource moving the stock to a new location, the resource can be rerouted to transfer the stock to an alternate location.

  • Publication number: 20100004972
Abstract: The invention provides a computer-implemented warehouse order processing method, whereby a warehouse order specifies work which is to be executed by a resource at a warehouse, a resource representing a physical entity which is able to execute work; during creation of a warehouse order, performing a step of determining a number of parameters relevant for execution of the respective warehouse order, and storing the determined parameters in a data base; during selection of a warehouse order for execution by a resource, performing a step of analyzing relevant population of warehouse orders for execution by the requesting resource, on the basis of the determined parameters, whether the selected resource is able to execute the warehouse order, and upon execution of a warehouse order by a resource, updating the data base comprising, the parameters for the warehouse orders.

  • Publication number: 20090012836
Abstract: The invention provides methods and apparatus, including computer program products, for handling exceptional situations in a warehouse management. From a user application of the warehouse, an exception code is received, the exception code being representative of a predetermined exceptional situation in the warehouse. The exception code is verified as to validity, and if the received exception code is valid, a follow-up action based on the received exception code is automatically triggered.

  • Patent number: 7435853
Abstract: Di- and polyamines of the diphenylmethane series are produced by a) converting nitrobenzene and methanol in the presence of a catalyst to aniline, formaldehyde and carbon monoxide, and then b) converting the aniline and formaldehyde produced in step a) in the presence of an acid catalyst to di- and polyamines of the diphenylmethane series, and c) converting the carbon monoxide produced in step a) with chlorine to phosgene.

  • Patent number: 7205439
Abstract: Di- and polyamines of the diphenylmethane series are prepared by a) mixing a first portion of aniline with an acid catalyst, b) mixing a second portion of aniline with formaldehyde, and c) mixing and reacting the mixtures prepared in each of steps a) and b). The diamines produced by this process may then be phosgenated to produce the corresponding di-/polyisocyanate.
