  • Publication number: 20230308814
Abstract: A hearing assistive device comprises a multi-microphone system for providing a processed input signal. The multi-microphone system comprises a multitude of microphones for picking up sound from an environment; and a beamformer filter configured to. The hearing assistive device further comprises an attachment element configured to fix the hearing assistive device to the body or clothes of a person. The multi-microphone system is configurable to operate in at least two modes in dependence of a mode control signal, A) a directional mode and B) an omni-directional mode wherein said multi-microphone system is configured to provide said processed input signal as a substantially directional signal, and as a substantially omni-directional signal, respectively. The attachment element is configured to provide an electric signal indicative of a current state of the attachment element.

  • Patent number: 11330366
Abstract: A sound capture device configured to be worn by a person and/or to be located on a surface is configured to pick up target sound from a target sound source s. The sound capture device comprises a) an input unit providing a multitude of electric input signals, each comprising a target signal component and a noise signal component; b) a directional noise reduction system comprising a beamformer unit coupled to said multitude of input signals and configured to provide an estimate of the target sound s. The beamformer unit comprises b1) target maintaining, reference beamformer providing a current reference signal; and b2) a target cancelling beamformer providing a current target cancelling sign. The directional noise reduction system is configured to operate in at least two modes in dependence of a mode control signal, 1) in a directional mode and 2) in a non-directional, omni-directional mode.

  • Patent number: 10966038
Abstract: A method of conducting a fitting session for fitting a hearing device to a hearing device user's needs is provided. The method comprises S1. providing an estimate of, a current feedback from said output transducer to said input transducer, while the hearing device is in an operational state; S2. evaluating said estimate of a current feedback and providing a value of a feedback risk indicator in dependence of said estimate of a current feedback; S3. determining whether said value of the feedback risk indicator fulfils a high-risk criterion; and S4. if said high-risk criterion is fulfilled providing at least one of a warning, a recommendation, and an action in relation to said feedback risk. Steps S1 to S4 are configured to be automatically performed as background processes. Thereby a simplified scheme for fitting a hearing device to a user's needs may be provided.

  • Publication number: 20070286403
Abstract: A telephone and a headset have coupled therebetween an amplifier coupling which incorporates circuits with a plurality of transfer characteristics which may be activated by control buttons on the amplifier coupling, allowing a user to adapt the signals received in the speaker to the surrounding sound conditions, thereby improving the sound perception under varying surrounding noise conditions. The transfer characteristics may be of the so-called TT4 standard or may be individually adapted with attenuation and/or gain in selected frequency bands. The amplifier coupling and the stationary telephone have coupled therebetween an automatic gain control (AGC) to adapt signal levels which are fed to the headset from the stationary telephone. The transfer characteristics may be implemented both as fixed circuits selectable via push-buttons, or they may be provided by a PC via a USB port.
